The Picken Square was designed for the purpose of assisting those who sew and draft patterns in laying out drafts for patterns in the quickest possible way.
It is similar in appearance to an ordinary L square but it contains different graduations that serve to lighten the labor of the user and keep them from working out fractions in making measurements.
