This is a digital, print-at-home pattern for a show-stopping 1930s Ladies' evening gown designed by Paris couture house Clair Seours.

This amazing gown may also be made as a dress in day length. It comes in two skirt lengths and can be made with long sleeves, flutter capelet sleeves, or sleeveless. The skirt pieces join the drop waist bodice in a clever way that allows for a beautiful drape to the skirt in either length.

Though the gown appears to look bias cut, it isn't, allowing it to be a bit more accessible to beginners.

From a 1930 ad for this pattern:

"Romantic types for Evening:

Now that Paris has "gone romantic" in evening frocks, smart women are indulging their tastes for period types. This frock shows why the Empire line is still favored. Its softly gathered, high-waisted bodice is most flattering - and that's important in a season when it's fashionable, you know, to look pretty. Note the new floor-length skirt."

Year: 1930-31.

Size:
