1930s Ladies' Mainbocher Designer Evening Gown #3122

This is a digital, print-at-home sewing pattern for a stunning 1930s Ladies' evening gown. The gown was originally created by Paris designer Mainbocher who was best known for designing the Duchess of Windsor's trousseau in 1937.

This amazing short-sleeve gown features a slightly rounded neckline trimmed with a ruffled collar (which can easily be left off if you prefer). The short sleeves are gathered for a bit of body. The bodice joins the skirt in a seam concealed beneath a narrow belt. The skirt is truly genius. It has side-to-front diagonal seaming that stops at a slit at both front and back.
