This is a print-at-home sewing pattern reproduction of an incredible 1920's afternoon or party dress.
This wonderful design features three versions that can be sewn with long or short puffed sleeves and with or without the contrasting collar and ties. The front has a V-shaped 'vest' that can be sewn in contrasting, lace and net for an alluring look, or in solid fabrics for more modesty. The skirt sits low on the hips and features shirring where it joins the bodice.
While researching this pattern, we found extensive references to it in various 1920's fashion and sewing resources, and we have included these as well to give you ideas as to how you might make the dress to your own tastes. Included is an article on adding scallops from Fashion Service Magazine, a scallop ruler, as well as restored copy of the original embroidery pattern suggested as an accent, but not sold with the original 1920's pattern!
Year: 1927 (This also works quite well for the 1926-1928) The dress is for day wear but if left sleeveless, it could be worn for evening wear in silk as well.
Instructions in English are included.
